Job summary

Wallace Design Collective is seeking Civil Summer Interns to support real commercial, educational, healthcare, and land development projects. You’ll work closely with our civil engineering team on hands-on site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater management using industry-standard tools.

You’ll be integrated into active project teams this summer, gaining mentorship and exposure to permitting processes, field visits, and collaborative design discussions that drive real outcomes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Coursework in fluid mechanics, hydrology, or surveying; AutoCAD Civil 3D or GIS is a plus.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, eager to learn, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Clear written and verbal communication with a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing site development plans and grading using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Model stormwater runoff and design detention systems.
• Support grading and earthwork analysis with finish surface grades.
• Learn permitting processes and agency coordination with local codes.
• Attend intern sessions and project meetings, with potential site visits.
