Job summary

MnDOT is seeking Civil/Construction/Environmental/Geo/Structural Engineering Student Workers for the summer of 2027 across Twin Cities metro and Greater Minnesota locations. The jobs involve pre-engineering tasks, hands-on transportation work, and support to engineering offices under supervisors.

Positions are part-time, nonexempt, with a Day Shift schedule, Monday through Friday. Some roles may require a valid driver's license and a background check; questions can be directed to the contact

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing civil, construction, environmental, geo or structural engineering or land management.
• Taking two or more classes per semester; education verification form may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-engineering work and assist engineering offices.
• Gain hands-on transportation work experience in various areas (construction, surveying, design, project management, bridge maintenance, materials, environmental stewardship, water resources, hydraulics, traffic).
• Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
