Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Civil Structural Engineering Manager to lead and grow an engineering team, guiding technical strategy and delivering high-impact projects. You will supervise engineers, coordinate across offices, and maintain strong client relationships while meeting schedule and cost goals.

This role emphasizes collaboration with the Engineering Director, technical oversight, and efforts to build a capable, scalable organization across multiple sites including NC and other U.S. locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; ABET preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in management within the energy sector.
• PE license preferred; transmission and generation experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering supervision and leadership across the team.
• Coordinate work with multiple engineering offices and clients.
• Develop and maintain relationships with senior clients and executives.
• Oversee QA/QC processes and ensure design packages meet standards.
• Forecast engineering needs, schedules, and project costs.
• Present technical solutions to customers and respond to questions.
