Job summary

Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer II to support civil and structural design for projects in power generation. You will perform design analyses, develop foundations and enclosures, and coordinate with internal teams to meet project timelines and codes.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering with a structural focus and 2+ years of related experience; EIT is preferred. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of related engineering experience; EIT certification preferred.
• Familiarity with ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318 desired.
• Experience with Earthquake Engineering concepts and tools such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD is desired.
• Proficient in MS Office; ability to read and write reports and communicate with teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and structural analysis for steel structures and concrete foundations.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and reports under guidance of senior engineers.
• Review specifications and prepare technical clarifications and deviations.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and the parent company on design requirements.
• Plan deliverables, schedules, and project documentation; support budgets and bids.
• Interface with internal/external teams to ensure design integrity.
