Qualifications
- Experience in civil/site development estimation or related field.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specs.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and good organizational abilities.
- Effective communication with estimating, operations, vendors, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Review plans, specs, drawings, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for civil/site development projects.
- Develop accurate project estimates and competitive bids.
- Calculate quantities for clearing, earthwork, drainage, utilities, roadways, curb and sidewalks.
- Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
- Coordinate with project management and operations during bidding.
- Identify value-engineering opportunities while preserving requirements.
