Job summary

Watson Civil Construction is seeking a seasoned Chief Estimator for private site development projects in the Tampa, Jupiter, or St. Augustine area.

You will lead the estimating department, review plans and specs, and develop cost proposals for private market work including commercial, industrial and multifamily developments. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in civil/site estimating, strong leadership, and proficiency with HCSS, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in civil/site development construction estimating.
• Experience estimating private site development projects (commercial, industrial, residential, multifamily).
• Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the estimating department for private site development projects.
• Identify and pursue bidding opportunities within the private market sectors.
• Review and analyze project plans, specs, geotechnical reports, surveys, and other documents.
• Prepare and oversee detailed cost estimates using estimating software.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor proposals.
• Develop conceptual budgets, hard bids, negotiated proposals, and VE recommendations.
• Prepare and review project schedules with Primavera P6 or similar.”],
