Job summary

Carroll Engineering Corporation in Hillsborough, NJ is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer with 3+ years of civil design experience, preferably in land development or infrastructure. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential, with knowledge of standards and strong teamwork.

The role involves developing detailed designs, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and supporting permits and cost estimation in a full-time, on-site capacity.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in civil design, preferably in land development or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards and regulations.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist in the planning and design of site layouts, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway systems.
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, profiles, cross-sections, and details.
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimation.
• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and adhere to company standards and procedures.
• Support permitting processes by preparing required documentation and responding to agency comments.
