Job summary

MacKay is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor-Project Manager in Pasco, WA to lead survey projects from initiation through delivery, coordinating with clients, engineers, and field crews. You will manage scopes, budgets, and schedules, review survey documents, and mentor team members while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

The role blends fieldwork with office leadership in a growing infrastructure firm.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Washington or be able to obtain/transfer within a reasonable timeframe.
• Up to 5 years of experience managing survey projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage a variety of land surveying projects (boundary, topographic, ALTA, parcel maps, subdivision maps, legal descriptions, construction staking).
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Serve as primary client contact, maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee field and office survey teams; provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Review and certify survey documents (plats, descriptions, exhibits).
• Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and agencies to support project goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional, and quality standards.
