Job summary

Granite Construction is seeking a seasoned project leader to direct the financial and operational success of heavy civil projects up to $15 million. You will drive profitability, safety, and client satisfaction while coordinating across engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field and 3–5 years in heavy civil work, including asphalt paving. Granite offers comprehensive benefits and a strong learning culture.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• 3–5 years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• 5+ years in asphalt paving, dirt, and grading in private or public environments.

Responsibilities

• Forecast project revenue and costs to meet profitability goals.
• Lead estimating for asphalt paving: analyze plans, perform takeoffs, price materials, evaluate risk, and bid per strategy.
• Coordinate with cross-functional team, sponsor, and construction manager to meet project schedule.
• Participate in bid reviews and closeouts; work with estimating team to develop bid schedule.
• Develop startup plans and kickoff with project team; ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Maintain proper job controls: quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule.
