Verdantas is hiring for a Civil Project Manager to support our Vermont team. This position offers strong professional growth opportunities and the potential to expand the territory!

Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing and/or completing civil engineering design of municipal, commercial, residential, and institutional projects including site design and permitting
  2. Overseeing and/or completing design work in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  3. Preparing reports and permit applications related to civil engineering projects
  4. Designing and managing various civil engineering-related projects including drainage collection, detention, and treatment systems, water and wastewater systems, roads and parking areas, pedestrian facilities, stream crossings, and other related project types
  5. Managing schedules, budgets, and workload for a small team of technical staff
  6. Acting as the primary client contact on assigned projects and assisting with the preparation of estimates and proposals

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  2. At least 4 years of professional experience in civil engineering practice in northern New England or similar setting; Vermont design and permitting experience
  3. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D design software
  4. Technical experience in water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater, and site design and permitting in Vermont or similar regulatory environment
  5. Strong understanding of civil engineering fundamentals including stormwater/drainage design, surface water hydrology, water and wastewater systems, and roadway/parking design
  6. Project management experience or ability and willingness to learn
  7. Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
  8. Occasional travel required
  9. Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally with or without accommodation, sometimes over substantial distances
  10. Ability to complete field work including carrying equipment and walking undeveloped sites
