Job summary

Backbone Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to ensure contract compliance, monitor costs, and manage project documentation. You will review plans, coordinate with site teams, and drive RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 2+ years experience, and involves extensive travel to client locations in the US. Travel roughly 60% and full-time employment are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.
• Any suitable combination of education, training or experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assure compliance with contract documents.
• Monitor costs and project progress.
• Review plans and technical documents.
• Create, manage, and track RFIs.
• Maintain and update project records.
• Manage submittals from subcontractors to AIE.
• Coordinate work with site crews, departments, and subcontractors.
• Assist in creating and distributing the project schedule.
• Conduct weekly project owner meetings.
• Conduct regular progress meetings with management and the client.
• Manage, create, and negotiate change orders.
• Assist with project closeout.
• Assist with subcontractor billings and pay applications.
• Assist the Project Manager with assigned tasks.
• Resolve conflicts between owner, contractor, and subcontractor.
