Job summary

Backbone Infrastructure, LLC. is seeking a Project Engineer in the Duluth, GA area to support Civil Engineering projects.

Responsibilities include ensuring contract compliance, tracking costs, reviewing plans, and managing RFIs and submittals while coordinating with site teams. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of related experience; travel up to 60% to client locations within the US is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with 2 years’ related experience.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assure compliance with contract documents.
• Monitor costs and project progress.
• Review plans and technical documents.
• Create, manage, and track RFIs.
• Maintain and update project records.
• Manage submittals from subcontractors to AIE.
• Coordinate work with site crews, departments, and subcontractors.
• Assist in creating and distributing the project schedule.
• Conduct and document weekly project owner meetings.
• Conduct regular progress meetings with management and the client.
• Manage, create, and negotiate change orders.
• Assist with project closeout.
• Assist with subcontractor billings and pay applications.
• Assist the Project Manager with assigned tasks.
• Resolve conflicts between owner, contractor, and subcontractor.

Education
