Job summary

CAGE Civil Engineering seeks a Project Engineer to lead the preparation, scheduling, and coordination of design documents for site development tasks in Florida. You will work under the project manager to ensure timely delivery of plans, calculations, and reports, including stormwater and permit documents.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with CAD Civil 3D. EIT is a plus, and a hybrid work arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience.
• EIT credentials (passing of the FE exam) preferred, but not required.
• Proficient with CAD Civil 3D software.
• Firm understanding of site development design (grading, utility, storm management).
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage site planning, stormwater calculations, utility design, and reports under PM guidance.
• Maintain client relationships through consistent delivery of quality work.
• Utilize time management and organization to excel on tasks.
• Prioritize tasks across multiple ongoing projects.
• Attend client/municipal and technical meetings for project approvals.
• Coordinate with subconsultants to obtain necessary design information.
• Meet deadlines or inform PM in advance when needed.
• Assist in preparing the project schedule and defining the critical path.
• Foster a team-first mentality and support colleagues as needed.
