Job summary

MasTec Civil is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for heavy civil/roadway construction to provide technical engineering information to supervision and craft teams. You will ensure work complies with safety regulations, engineering standards, codes, and specifications.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree with a focus on construction management and 5+ years of roadway project experience. Responsibilities include preparing schedules, cost reporting, and coordinating with subs

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy civil/roadway construction projects.
• Ability to interpret contracts, plans and specifications.
• Prepare schedules, cost reporting and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Review contracts, plans and specifications.
• Prepare project schedule and monthly updates.
• Prepare quantity reporting, cost projections, and forecasting.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to resolve issues.
• Submit change orders.
• Maintain document control and submittal schedules.
• Maintain NPDES permits and project progress schedules.
• Respond to notices, inspections, and testing requirements.
• Assist with project closeout.
