Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer, PE to join our Municipal team in our Duluth office. You will manage multiple civil engineering projects, coordinate with Project Managers, and provide technical guidance to clients and staff.

We value experience with municipal infrastructure, MnDOT standards, and AutoCAD Civil 3D. A Minnesota PE license and a valid driver's license are required for travel to sites and facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
• 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including municipal infrastructure preferred.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.
• Knowledge of MnDOT requirements.
• Possess a valid driver's license as travel to facilities and job sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for management, planning, scheduling and performance of multiple projects and personnel (design and construction).
• Work closely with Project Managers to understand client needs and expectations.
• Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications and reports.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction or repairs to clients, contractors and staff.
• May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals).
• Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.
