Job summary

Bolton & Menk in Chaska, MN is seeking a Project Engineer, PE to join our Municipal team. You will manage multiple engineering projects and personnel, work with Project Managers to understand client needs, and review feasibility studies and plans.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering, a Minnesota PE license, 4+ years of civil engineering experience with municipal infrastructure, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota.
• 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience working with municipal infrastructure.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.
• Knowledge of MnDOT requirements.
• Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction.
• Work closely with Project Managers in understanding client needs and expectations.
• Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications and reports.
• Provides technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff members.
• May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.).
• Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.
