Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. invites a Project Engineer, PE to join our Land Development team in North Carolina. The role leverages coastal municipality experience to advance safe, sustainable, and beautiful communities across the region.

You will collaborate with project managers, supervise site engineering work, and contribute to reports, plans, and permitting while providing client-ready technical guidance and supporting business development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina.
• 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience in private and/or public land development projects.
• Experience in plan and specification development with design/construction contract administration.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of local site permitting processes and requirements.
• Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, scheduling and performance of multiple site engineering projects and personnel (design and construction).
• Work closely with Project Managers to understand client needs and expectations.
• Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Read, interpret and prepare site engineering plans, specifications and reports.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff.
• May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.).
• Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.
