Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. in Charlotte seeks a Project Engineer, PE to join the Land Development team. You will manage multiple engineering projects, coordinate with project managers, and review reports and plans.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, NC PE or ability to obtain within two months, 4+ years of land development experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and REVIT. Occasional travel with a valid license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina OR ability to obtain within two months.
• 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience working with land development.
• Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency.
• Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction
• Work closely with Project Managers in understanding client needs and expectations.
• Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies
• Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications and reports
• Provides technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff members
• May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.)
• Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff
