Job summary

Core States Group is hiring a Civil Project Engineer to lead the planning, design, and construction of civil projects from Kent, WA. The role emphasizes delivering on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, with collaboration across internal teams and clients.

The candidate should have a PE license (or ability to obtain others), 5+ years of civil/site development experience, and strong AutoCAD Civil 3D skills. Hybrid work environment and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• PE license required, ability to obtain additional states.
• 5+ years in civil engineering within an engineering or construction firm.
• 5+ years of site development design experience.
• Proven track record of project management and client relationships.
• Experience leading engineering teams and hands-on contributions with SM tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans, feasibility reports, cost estimates, drainage reports with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate with review agencies, clients, and sub-consultants for permits.
• Prepare grading plans, profiles, road design using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform calculations for storm water facilities and roadways.
• Lead draftsmen and designers to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Develop site development plans for residential, commercial and mixed-use complexes.
• Manage project numbers, billing reports, contracts, and invoices.
