Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join a leading New Jersey civil contractor. You will support project managers, coordinate field activities, review drawings and specs, manage RFIs and submittals, and assist with scheduling, budgeting, and reporting across infrastructure and site development projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 2+ years in civil work, knowledge of Procore/Primavera/AutoCAD, and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure, site development, or heavy civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, controls, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam or AutoCAD.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented.
• Willingness to travel across New Jersey as required.
• EIT certification or PE licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support permit acquisition and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and safety policies.

Job Description

• Support Project Managers with the planning, execution, and closeout of construction projects.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in civil construction, infrastructure, utility, site development, highway, or heavy civil projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, project controls, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Knowledge of construction software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• EIT certification or progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout New Jersey as required.
