Job summary

Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for Civil Programs to join the Civil Programs Team in Columbus, MS or Grand Prairie, TX.

The role oversees aircraft completion, maintenance and repair activities, coordinating multiple departments, managing schedules and budgets, and guiding contracts from inception to execution. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Program Management, 3 years in project management, and travel readiness (10–20%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Program Management or equivalent experience.
• Three (3) years of experience in project management within a production or technical environment.
• Financial experience for budgeting purposes.
• Technical experience to comprehend technical data packages.
• 10-20% Domestic and International Travel involved.
• Must be a US Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license).
• Ability to break difficult issues down into manageable work packages.
• Strong crisis management skills; and even stronger planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with team members to bring project to completion on schedule, on budget and on quality.
• Guide customer through the aircraft acquisition and completion process; focus on customer experience.
• Develop project timelines in MS Project with predecessors, successors, and critical path analysis.
• Track project timelines weekly and update start/finish dates; adjust as required.
• Develop budgets with inputs from functional departments and track CPI.
