Proteinea is seeking a Civil Procurement Engineer to manage procurement for civil works, ensuring timely material availability and competitive pricing while meeting project requirements.

The role involves reviewing BOQs and specs, sourcing suppliers, preparing RFQs, and negotiating terms to optimize value across megaprojects. A background in civil engineering and 2–5 years in procurement are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of procurement experience in civil/infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of civil construction materials and subcontracting.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Review BOQs, drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify procurement needs.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors for civil materials and services.
• Prepare RFQs, obtain quotations, and conduct technical and commercial comparisons.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times, and delivery schedules to achieve the best value.
• Coordinate with Technical, Commercial, Planning, and Project teams to ensure procurement aligns with project requirements.
• Manage the procurement cycle from RFQ and quotation evaluation to purchase order and delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance, material availability, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors and develop new sources when required.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality and specifications.
• Resolve procurement and supply issues and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement within civil, infrastructure, industrial, or contracting projects.
• Good knowledge of civil construction materials and subcontracting.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Experience with BOQs, RFQs, quotation comparisons, and cost analysis.
• Experience with mega projects is preferred.
