Job summary

Proteinea in the United States seeks an experienced Civil Procurement Team Leader to oversee procurement for civil and infrastructure projects. You will lead the Civil Procurement team, drive strategic sourcing, manage suppliers and subcontractors, and ensure timely delivery of materials in line with project schedules.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 6–10 years in civil procurement, plus proven leadership, negotiation, and cost-control skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6–10 years in civil procurement, preferably in industrial, infrastructure, EPC, or contracting.
• Experience in team leadership or supervisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction materials, subcontracting, and supplier markets.
• Excellent negotiation, cost-control, supplier management, and analytical skills.
• Experience handling mega projects and high-value procurement packages is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Civil Procurement team to ensure timely procurement.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with schedules and budgets.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Review BOQs, material specs, and project schedules to identify needs.
• Manage the procurement cycle from RFQ to delivery.
• Coordinate with technical, commercial, planning, project, and site teams.
• Monitor material prices, market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure timely delivery of critical materials and resolve supply-chain issues.
• Mentor and support Junior Procurement Engineers/Buyers.

The role is responsible for supplier management, cost optimization, material availability, and ensuring timely procurement in line with project requirements. Procurement Team Leader is responsible for managing and overseeing procurement activities related to civil and infrastructure projects. The role ensures timely sourcing, cost efficiency, quality compliance, and alignment with project and company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Civil Procurement team, ensuring efficient and timely procurement activities.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive prices and favorable terms.
• Review BOQs, material specifications, technical requirements, and project schedules to identify procurement needs.
• Manage the procurement cycle from RFQ and quotation evaluation through negotiation, purchase orders, and delivery.
• Coordinate with Technical, Commercial, Planning, Project, and Site teams to ensure materials meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Monitor material prices, market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure timely delivery of critical materials and proactively resolve procurement and supply-chain issues.
• Mentor and support Junior Procurement Engineers/Buyers to improve team performance.

Requirements
