Proteinea is seeking a Mechanical Tender Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support tendering and estimation for civil projects. You will prepare competitive, accurate submissions and ensure compliance with client requirements.

Responsibilities include analyzing documents, preparing cost estimates, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining a cost database. The role collaborates with design, planning and project management to deliver proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven tendering/estimation experience for civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market pricing.
• Proficient in Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.

• Analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual terms.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Conduct site visits and assessments when required to understand project scope and constraints.
• Coordinate with design, planning, and project management teams to develop technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare and submit complete tender documentation in line with client requirements and deadlines.
• Support bid clarifications, value engineering proposals, and post-tender negotiations.
• Maintain and update a cost database for materials, labor, and equipment rates.
• Monitor and review awarded tenders to compare estimated vs actual performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior estimation engineers.
