The role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, market pricing, and contract terms. Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software is essential, along with sharp analytical and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in tendering/estimation for civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tender documents including drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual terms.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Conduct site visits and assessments when required to understand project scope and constraints.
• Coordinate with design, planning, and project management teams to develop technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare and submit complete tender documentation in line with client requirements and deadlines.
• Support bid clarifications, value engineering proposals, and post-tender negotiations.
• Maintain and update a cost database for materials, labor, and equipment rates.
• Monitor and review awarded tenders to compare estimated vs actual performance and identify areas for improvement.
