Job summary

Bluebird Staffing is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil Engineering in Chicago, IL to lead municipal and site development projects. You will coordinate with clients, consultants, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality civil design and project outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, 8+ years of civil engineering experience, and an active PE license (Texas or eligible).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
8+ years of professional civil engineering experience.
Municipal engineering or site development background.
Active PE license (Texas) or ability to obtain licensure.
Experience managing projects, teams, and client relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Manage civil engineering projects from planning to completion.
Oversee municipal engineering and site development projects.
Lead plan development, reviews, and design coordination.
Manage schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
Coordinate with clients, teams, consultants, stakeholders.
Prepare and review technical reports and documentation.
Provide staff leadership, mentoring, and development.
Support business development and proposals.
Contribute to roadway design, stormwater, green infrastructure, and capital improvements.
Maintain technical quality and client satisfaction.
