Mechanical/ Civil Inspector
Project Length: 12–24 months
Project Type: On-site power generation facility supplying a data center via gas-powered turbines
Overview
We’re looking for an inspector who can handle both mechanical and civil coordination on a power generation project supporting a new data center. The site runs gas-fired turbines to generate electricity, and you’ll keep mechanical and civil scopes aligned across construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate mechanical and civil work across engineering, construction, and commissioning
- Review drawings and specs to catch conflicts between disciplines before they hit the field
- Track installation progress, sequencing, and field changes across both scopes
- Serve as the field liaison between mechanical and civil crews, contractors, and project management
- Support RFIs, submittals, and documentation for both disciplines
- Flag schedule, scope, or interface issues early and drive them to resolution
Qualifications
- Experience coordinating both mechanical and civil scopes (dual-discipline strongly preferred)
- Background in power generation, energy, or heavy industrial construction a plus
- Able to read and interpret mechanical and civil drawings
- Strong communication and field coordination skills
- Comfortable working across teams in a fast-moving construction environment
- Able to commit to a 1–2 year project
