Job summary

Epcon Partners Inc. is seeking a Field-based Mechanical Inspector for a large power generation facility. The role involves walking the site, reading prints, and verifying installations against drawings and specs.

It is a hands-on field position with full days spent on foot on the job site. The inspector will document findings, write reports, and track punch-list items to closure while coordinating with construction, QC, and client representatives on site.

Qualifications

• Prior mechanical or piping inspection experience on power generation, EPC, or heavy industrial projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and mechanical prints.
• Working knowledge of applicable mechanical and piping codes (e.g., ASME B31.1 (power piping))

Field-based Mechanical Inspector for a large, active power generation facility. You'll walk down P&IDs and read prints to confirm mechanical and piping work is installed per drawings, specs, and applicable codes. This is a hands-on field role with full days spent on foot moving through the site.

Physical Demands

This is an active field role with significant physical requirements. Candidates should be able to:

• Walk long distances throughout the shift across large job sites and uneven, open terrain
• Climb ladders, stairs, and scaffolding, and work at elevation
• Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods
• Work outdoors in all conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Wear required PPE (hard hat, FR clothing, steel-toe boots, safety glasses) for full shifts
