  • Receiving inspection: verify incoming mechanical equipment and materials (turbine and generator components, pumps, valves, piping spools, exhaust silencers/ducting, HVAC skids, tanks) against purchase orders, approved vendor drawings, packing lists, and nameplate/serial data upon arrival at site.
  • Storage and preservation verification: audit warehouse and laydown yard conditions (blocking/cribbing, weather protection, desiccant/VCI packaging, bearing and internal preservation, open flange/nozzle covers) against Siemens and other OEM storage requirements for turbine, generator, and rotating equipment components.
  • PM program verification: confirm that preventative maintenance and preservation activities on installed and stored mechanical equipment (rotor barring/turning gear operation, bearing lubrication, lube oil system circulation, coating touch-up, corrosion inhibitor top-off) are performed per OEM-recommended intervals and properly documented prior to turnover.
