Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP in Atlanta seeks an experienced paralegal for a full-time in-office position. The candidate will assist attorneys in trial preparation, manage discovery and records, and summarize extensive medical and employment records with attention to detail.

Requirements include 3+ years paralegal experience in civil litigation, knowledge of legal research tools, and a BA with ABA-approved certificate. Background/drug screen is required; iManage experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm.
• Civil litigation experience required.
• Familiarity with web-based legal research services.
• Experience with paperless files; iManage experience a plus.
• Must pass background/drug screen.
• Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate from ABA approved program required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of a civil case for trial.
• Discovery and records management.
• Summarize medical and employment records; create medical chronologies; summarize discovery responses; prepare meet and confer correspondence.
• Motion writing experience, including oppositions to motions and discovery motions.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
