Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP in Atlanta seeks an experienced paralegal for a full-time in-office position. The candidate will assist attorneys in trial preparation, manage discovery and records, and summarize extensive medical and employment records with attention to detail.

Requirements include 3+ years paralegal experience in civil litigation, knowledge of legal research tools, and a BA with ABA-approved certificate. Background/drug screen is required; iManage experience is a plus.

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is a nationally recognized Am Law 200 law firm with over 500 attorneys servicing clients in 40 offices and 22 states seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Atlanta office. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with the preparation of a civil case for trial
• Discovery and records management
• Ability to summarize medical and employment records, create medical chronologies, summarize discovery responses, prepare meet and confer correspondence

• Proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints with minimal supervision and exceptional attention to detail

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm
• Civil litigation experience required
• Familiarity with performing research tasks using web-based legal research services
• Experience working with paperless files. iManage experience a plus
• Must successfully pass a background/drug screen
• Bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate from ABA approved program required.
