Sebris Busto James, a boutique labor and employment law firm in Bellevue, Washington, seeks a paralegal with 8+ years of complex civil litigation/trial experience to add to our team. This role is crucial in an exciting, fast-paced litigation practice, with multiple trials scheduled in the coming months.
Our preferred candidate has:
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with e-discovery and other discovery production, document review and management, and drafting pleadings and discovery
- Strong skills in background research and locating/searching court records in other jurisdictions
- General knowledge of public records searches and FOIA/Public Records Act requests for state and federal agencies
- Expertise in Washington state and federal court rules, e-filing/filing, and calendaring, including local rules and filing requirements throughout the superior courts of the counties of the state of Washington
- Advanced computing skills (with proficiency in all aspects of Office 365, including SharePoint)
- Confident and calm under pressure
- Ability and willingness to do what is needed as required by trial demands
- Professional demeanor when communicating on the phone, via email or in person
- High organizational and coordinating skills
- Willingness to comply with confidentiality obligations and firm policies
