Job summary

Apfelbaum Martinez Law in Port Saint Lucie, FL, seeks a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join a dynamic team on the Treasure Coast. You will manage client matters from inception through trial, coordinate hearings and meetings, and draft governing documents with precision.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in litigation paralegal work, paralegal certification preferred, and family law experience is a plus. Compensation is hourly and benefits follow after the probation period.

Responsibilities

Paralegal Job Duties & Responsibilities Include:

• Serve as primary client contact, answering phones, greeting clients, providing professional communication, and managing client expectations.
• Manage client matters efficiently from inception through trial and post-trial proceedings.
• Coordinate and schedule appointments, hearings, mediations, and meetings while managing multiple calendars.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, court documents, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
• Assist attorneys with discovery process, document production, exhibit preparation, witness materials, trial binders, and all phases of trial readiness.

• Proficiency in legal research, case management software, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to work with different attorneys in various practice areas, including civil litigation, family law, probate litigation, business law and criminal law.
• Constructively work in a team environment.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Litigation Paralegal.
• Paralegal certificate is preferred.
• Family Law experience is a plus.

Compensation based on experience. Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
