$120,000 - $200,000 base salary + bonus, depending on experience, practice area, business generation, work arrangement, and overall fit

About The Role

Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 defense firm, is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Spokane-area practice. This position offers 100% remote flexibility, with the option to work in a hybrid/in-office environment as desired.

The firm has needs across a broad range of civil-defense practices, including Employment, Complex Commercial Litigation, Construction, Healthcare, Professional Liability, Environmental/Toxic Tort, Product Liability, and General Liability.

This opportunity is well suited for an attorney with 3+ years of litigation experience who can take meaningful ownership of matters while collaborating with attorneys across a national platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and other substantive legal briefs
• Handle written discovery, document production, and case investigation
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Develop litigation strategy in coordination with partners and clients
• Prepare witnesses, experts, and matters for trial
• Appear in court as appropriate
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and risk
• Collaborate with attorneys across the firm's national litigation practices

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active Washington Bar license in good standing
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is particularly relevant: Employment, Complex Commercial Litigation, Construction, Healthcare, Professional Liability, Environmental/Toxic Tort, Product Liability, or General Liability
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
• Hands-on experience with discovery and substantive motion practice
• Deposition and courtroom experience preferred
• Ability to manage matters with limited supervision while collaborating effectively with a broader litigation team
