Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate in TX to handle a broad range of complex matters from early stages through resolution. You will manage diverse litigation tasks, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and support trial preparation while coordinating with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in civil/commercial litigation, strong writing and research skills, and Texas Bar eligibility. Insurance defense or general liability exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar membership or eligibility to obtain.
• 3–7 years of civil and/or commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and motion practice skills.
• Deposition and court experience preferred.
• Experience in insurance defense, business litigation, or general liability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil and commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs.
• Conduct depositions and assist in witness preparation.
• Handle court appearances, hearings, and case management conferences.
• Manage written discovery and e-discovery processes.
• Work directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Support trial preparation and assist at trial as needed.
