Job summary

The Staff Pad is seeking an Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation in Dallas, TX, to join a fast-growing firm with a strong Texas practice. The role offers hybrid work in-office days with remote flexibility and significant client exposure.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of civil litigation experience, strong drafting and research skills, and a willingness to own cases while working with senior attorneys on strategy and development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil litigation matters from filing to resolution.

The Staff Pad has partnered with a fast-growing,multi-state law firm that delivers high quality legal services in civillitigation, private, real estate and business law and we are seeking anexperiencedCivil Litigation Associateto join their growing Texaslitigation team in Dallas.

The ideal candidate is someone who is ready to take meaningfulownership of cases, work directly with clients, independently managesignificant portions of matters, and continue developing as a well-roundedlitigator while collaborating with senior attorneys on strategy, complexmatters, and professional development.

The attorney may work on matters involving:

Real estate litigation, Construction andconstruction-defect disputes, Business and commercial litigation, Contractdisputes, Partnership and ownership conflicts, Employment-related litigation, Defamationmatters, Landlord-tenant and property disputes, pre-litigation demands andnegotiations & General civil litigation

Experience in every practice area is notrequired—strong civil litigation experience, intellectual curiosity, and theability to quickly learn new subject matter are key.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Managecivil litigation matters and substantial portions of cases from initialassessment through resolution
  • Draftpleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and other legaldocuments
  • Conductlegal research and provide practical legal analysis
  • Managewritten discovery, document production, and case investigation
  • Takeand defend depositions based on experience and case needs
  • Preparefor and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, andtrials
  • Communicateregularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, deadlines, andnext steps
  • Evaluatelegal and factual issues and help develop case strategies
  • Negotiatewith opposing counsel and assist with settlement discussions
  • Coordinatewith paralegals and legal support staff to keep matters organized andmoving forward
  • Maintaindeadlines and manage multiple active matters effectively
  • Collaboratewith senior attorneys on complex litigation and case strategy
  • Developgreater independence and courtroom responsibility as experience grows
  • Contributeto the continued growth of the firm's litigation practice

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

Deposition and courtroom experience are stronglyvalued, but candidates whose overall litigation backgrounddemonstrates strong potential for continued growth will also be encouraged.

  • Approximately3–5years of civil litigation experience
  • Experiencedrafting substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Experiencemanaging litigation deadlines and case responsibilities
  • Exposureto depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation

  • Strong client communication, legalwriting, research, and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational andtime-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
