We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Appellate and Civil Litigation attorney to join our dynamic team.
Job Description
As an Appellate Attorney, you will play a crucial role in handling complex legal appeals across various jurisdictions. You will be responsible for drafting persuasive briefs, presenting oral arguments, and providing strategic legal advice to our clients. Your work will involve extensive research, meticulous analysis, and the ability to articulate arguments with clarity and precision.
As a Civil Litigation attorney, you will play a critical role in managing complex legal disputes across various sectors. You will be responsible for drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, and providing strategic legal advice. Your work will involve extensive research, thorough analysis, and the ability to present arguments with clarity and precision.
Responsibilities
·Conduct thorough legal research to support Appellate and Civil Litigation cases.
·Draft compelling briefs and motions.
·Present oral arguments in appellate and lower courts.
·Provide strategic legal counsel to clients.
·Collaborate with trial attorneys to identify and preserve legal issues for appeal.
·Analyze court decisions and develop case strategies.
·Coordinate and manage written discovery, depositions, and a pre-trial hearing practice.
Qualifications
·Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
·Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Texas Sate Bar.
·Minimum of 5 years of experience in appellate practice.
·Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
·Strong analytical and research abilities.
·Proven track record of successful appellate advocacy.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
·Experience with appellate brief writing and oral argument preparation.
Preferred Skills and Experience
·Experience in both Federal and Texas Appellate Courts.
·Background in complex litigation.
·Advanced legal research skills using platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
