Job summary

Blattner Company in Avon, MN seeks a Civil/Grading Superintendent with 5+ years supervising self-perform civil/grading crews. You will lead field safety, plan labor/equipment, and manage cost targets while ensuring QA/QC across reads of specs/drawings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supervising self-perform civil/grading crews.
• Strong safety leadership (OSHA/site rules, JHAs).
• Proven field planning and cost/schedule control.
• QA/QC execution experience; read specs/drawings.
• Valid driver license with acceptable MVR.
• 100% travel with rotations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Assistant Superintendents, Forepersons, craft, and subs; set direction and coach.
• Own field safety—enforce regulations, lead orientations/JHAs, manage lifts/DOT/telehandlers, and incidents.
• Plan/schedule labor, equipment, materials, and subs to hit productivity and cost targets.
• Track field cost/schedule vs. estimates; flag risks/variances and resolve issues quickly with the Site Manager.
• Drive quality to the Project Quality Plan and Blattner standards; set specs/craftsmanship expectations for craft and subcontractors.
• Partner with the Site Manager and other superintendents, support owner communications/negotiations.
