Job summary

Wood is seeking a Civil Foreman in Freeport, TX to lead multi-craft construction projects onsite. You will supervise crews, enforce safety standards, coordinate workflow, and ensure work aligns with customer specifications.

Strong communication and leadership are essential to deliver projects on time and within scope. The role requires experience as a foreman or supervisor in construction, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with OSHA and site safety practices.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level experience in at least one craft.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment.
• 2–5 years as Craft Foreman or similar supervisory role.
• Familiar with safety policies, work requirements, training, reporting procedures, and plant engineering specs.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and coordinate entire job across crafts including technical and safety aspects.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and work conditions.
• Coordinate scheduling and communication among craftsmen for smooth workflow.
• Inspect job sites for safety before permits are issued.
• Instruct workers on new procedures, materials, and safety meetings.
• Work with customers professionally and assist when needed.
• Train workers in construction methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Read blueprints to determine construction requirements and procedures.
• Coordinate with managers, other departments, and contractors to resolve issues.
