Job summary

Wood is seeking a Civil Foreman in Baytown, TX, to supervise multi-craft construction teams, ensure safety compliance, and meet customer requirements. The role requires experience as a craft foreman, OSHA awareness, and strong leadership to coordinate site activities and safety programs.

The candidate should communicate effectively with trades, inspect sites, train crews, and uphold company safety policies while coordinating with managers and contractors on project delivery.

Qualifications

• Foreman should have journeyman level experience in at least one craft.
• Must have valid driver's license and be a Heavy Equipment Operator.
• Familiarity with customer safety policies, work requirements and training.
• Two to five years of experience as a Craft Foreman or similar supervisory position.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and coordinate the entire job across multiple crafts, including safety and human relations aspects.
• Understand and implement customer requirements and site conditions.
• Communicate with craftsmen to schedule work and maintain workflow.
• Conduct onsite inspections prior to permits for safety concerns.
• Instruct workers on new procedures and materials, conduct safety meetings, and maintain communication.
• Work with customers professionally and assist as needed.
• Train workers in construction methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Read blueprints to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
• Coordinate with managers, technical staff, other departments, and contractors to resolve problems.
