Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks a Civil Estimator to support lump sum, unit rate and cost plus estimates and to assist in pre-construction activities. You will coordinate discipline estimates, review designs, and perform productivity analyses to ensure cost effectiveness across projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background checks, drug screen, and driving record checks.
• BS or MS in Construction Management or related field is preferred.
• Field experience is a plus.
• Project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and consolidate discipline estimates into the Proposal Estimate.
• Review design scopes and develop quantities.
• Perform productivity analysis of construction operations.
• Prepare contingency, escalation and reconciliation for estimates.
• Perform cost comparisons between projects.
• Update and maintain historical cost data.
• Review designs for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives.
• Support continuous improvement and change management.
• Perform scope reviews: objectives, deliverables, overall project requirements.
• Develop preliminary Work Packages with Estimating team.
• Participate in risk assessment and mitigation discussions.
