Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5–10 years of estimating experience in general civil construction.
• Proven bid-to-profitability track record.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Takeoff Software, HeavyJob, and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly evaluate bid documents to determine scope and subcontracting needs.
• Coordinate quantity take-offs for pursuits and highlight important details.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project constraints and profitability.
• Identify and contact subcontractors and suppliers for quotes and scope clarifications.
• Use historical cost data to develop timely estimates and mitigate risks.
• Tabulate costs and durations for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Prepare final estimates, schedules, and executive summaries for bid submission.
• Organize bid-related documents for archiving or handoff to the project team.
