Job summary

Weston & Sampson in Reading, MA is seeking a Civil/Environmental Project Engineer or Project Manager with 5–10 years of experience to join our Reading office. The role supports a diverse portfolio of environmental and civil projects including assessment, remediation, waste management, tank compliance, and demolition.

You will lead engineering design, prepare reports, supervise project teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and mentor junior staff while pursuing new opportunities through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or related field.
• PE certification or eligibility is a plus.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in MA.
• Experience overseeing field services and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering reports, MCP and permit filings, and environmental assessments.
• Prepare design plans, details, and technical specifications for bidding.
• Lead project teams to perform environmental and engineering studies and designs.
• Define scope, schedule, budget; prepare contracts; manage invoicing and amendments.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff.
• Support pursuit of new work through client relationships and proposals.
• Participate in professional organizations and technical committees.
