Black & Veatch offers a Staff Civil Engineering Technician role focused on supporting site development, grading, drainage, and utility layouts for complex infrastructure projects. You will create and modify technical deliverables using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have formal drafting/design education and at least 5 years of experience in civil engineering projects, with hybrid work options after onboarding.

Formación

• Diploma or Certificate is required.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology is preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Responsabilidades

• Functions in a project engineering technician capacity.
• Supports engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables.
• Applies foundational engineering principles and established design practices to create moderately complex design concepts and solutions.
• Utilizes CAD/BIM tools to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables.
• Provides technical guidance and may offer direction to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency across project outputs.
• Applies knowledge of standards, codes, document control, and BV policies.
• Reviews design inputs to ensure consistency and compliance with codes and standards.
• Begins to apply judgment and decision-making in deliverables and input interpretation.
• Coordinates with other design group personnel to review project information.
• May support field activities and focus on internal client needs while considering external drivers.
• Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes.
