Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager for our Northern California Civil team in Petaluma. You will manage land development and infrastructure projects, blending engineering excellence with strong project leadership.

You will oversee designs, mentor junior engineers, interface with clients and stakeholders, and ensure projects meet schedules, budgets, and regulatory standards. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 8+ years of civil engineering design experience with increasing responsibility including project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with sustainable design practices, Low Impact Development (LID), hydromodification, and drainage reports.
• Experience in managing project schedules, scope and budgets; preparing work plans.
• Knowledge of codes, regulations, and permitting requirements in California.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project stakeholders: interface with clients and internal/external teams.
• Provide technical oversight of civil engineering design and calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor and lead project teams, delegating tasks while maintaining high quality.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources to meet milestones.
