Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Sacramento seeks an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead civil and infrastructure projects, mentor engineers, manage client relationships, and drive growth in the NorCal Civil practice.

You will oversee pursuit, planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout; manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and quality while coordinating with teams, clients, and agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience with project management responsibilities
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor staff
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and standard project management tools
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, permitting processes, and regulations
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, contracts, and client expectations

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, permitting, and execution of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and staffing to ensure successful outcomes.
• Oversee project performance and resolve challenges throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and public agencies for delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and review calculations, reports, and designs for quality and compliance.
• Support business development and client retention through proactive relationship management.
