KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking a Civil Design Engineer for our San Francisco office. The role focuses on taking on greater project responsibility while growing technical expertise, client exposure, and leadership skills.

You will contribute to a diverse land development and infrastructure portfolio, collaborating with experienced engineers and project managers to deliver thoughtful, high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of civil engineering design experience.
• Progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and Technical Development of site development, grading, drainage, and roadway projects.
• Project delivery, coordination, and supporting permitting with agencies.
• Field and site support through site visits and data collection.
