Job summary

NV5, located in Cary, NC, is seeking a full-time Civil Engineering PE to support site development and utility projects. The PE will provide design support, prepare calculations, and coordinate with project managers for timely delivery.

The candidate should have a BS in Civil Engineering, 4–10 years of civil/site experience, and a PE license, with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or MicroStation/GeoPak) and related software. A strong emphasis on quality and client interaction is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4 to 10 years of civil/site related work experience.
• PE license.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred) or MicroStation/GeoPak.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design and calculations for site layout, grading, erosion and sedimentation control, potable water, sanitary sewer, stormwater drainage and SCM design components.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation, Water CAD, Excel, stormwater modeling software and other civil design software.
• Complete project tasks within deadlines and budgets.
• Coordinate work with other project managers, engineers, and designers.
• Correspond with clients and permit reviewers under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Ensure quality control procedures are implemented.
• Market NV5 by involvement in professional and civic organizations.
• Other special assignments as directed.
