Job summary

NV5, Inc. in Cary, NC is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead site/civil design projects from concept through construction, ensuring schedule and budget compliance while delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

You will manage design, permitting, QA/QC, client communication and business development activities, mentoring staff, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to advance projects for public and private sector clients.

Qualifications

BS degree in Civil Engineering
NC PE license or eligibility
5+ years of Civil Engineering PM experience
10+ years of site/civil design
Project experience on commercial/institutional/healthcare/residential/educational sites
Design experience in site development: layout, grading, stormwater, utilities, roads
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation, Water CAD, Excel, stormwater software
Sustainability certification/experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and manage site/civil design projects
Oversee project execution from concept through construction within schedule and budget
Sign and seal calculations, specifications and plans you oversee
Mentor staff and support proposals and budgeting
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure project quality
Assist in business development and client relations
