Job summary

NV5, Inc. is seeking a full-time Civil Engineering PE for our Cary, NC office. The PE will provide engineering and design support for site development and utility projects, including road, grading and utilities using CAD.

The role involves producing design calculations, coordinating with project managers and clients, and ensuring quality control. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation is preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 4–10 years of civil/site related work experience.
• PE license is required.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred) or MicroStation/GeoPak.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering design and calculations for site layout, grading, erosion and sedimentation control, potable water, sanitary sewer, stormwater drainage and SCM design components for site development projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation, Water CAD, Excel, stormwater modeling software and other civil design software.
• Complete project tasks within deadlines and budgets.
• Coordinate work with other project managers, engineers, and designers.
• Correspond with clients and permit reviewers under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Ensure quality control procedures are implemented.
• Market NV5 by involvement in professional and civic organizations.
